Building Early Education Fund

The Australian Government has partnered with the Victorian State Government to build new and expanded early childhood education and care services in communities that need them the most.

Up to 11 projects will share in $63 million through the Australian Government’s . The Victorian Government is investing an additional $107 million to help deliver these projects.

First centres funded

Eight more new or expanded services will be built in outer suburban and regional areas including in:

  • Swan Hill
  • Geelong
  • Whittlesea
  • Casey
  • Frankston.

These new and improved centres are expected to open by 2029. They will provide long day care, kindergarten and pre-prep programs.

This partnership means more families will have access to quality early learning close to home.
