About the project

We are building a kindergarten at Wiyal Primary School.

It will open in 2028 and will have 3 kindergarten rooms.

Having the school and kindergarten together may help some families with drop-off and pick-up. It may also help some children make a smoother transition into primary school.

Enrolment

An experienced organisation will be appointed in 2026 to run the kinder. They will manage all enrolment and program enquiries. to be notified when a provider is announced.

Funding

In the 2023鈥�24 State Budget, this project shared in $1.3 billion allocated to build around 100 new kindergartens to support the Best Start, Best Life reforms.
